The US Embassy in Dublin is urging students across the South East interested in doing a J1 this summer to begin the application process as soon as possible.
Ireland has around 7 thousand total J1 slots available for 2018, which is the same as last year.
Students are also being reminded that anyone who applies must have a job secured before they travel.
