The world famous Mona Lisa was the victim of a publicity stunt yesterday, as a visitor to the Louvre smeared the glass protecting the world's most famous painting with cream after failing to break through it.

According to Reuters, it's believed that the act was conducted to garner attention on the climate crisis.
The perpetrator was disguised as an old woman in a wheelchair. When he was near the exhibit he jumped out of chair and attempted to damage the painting.
"Think of the earth, people are destroying the earth", the man, dressed in a wig, said in French, before being moved away by security.
The Louvre has not yet commented
