The Dáil and Seanad will meet in the Convention Centre at a cost of €50,000 per day

The Dáil and Seanad will have to sit in the Convention Centre at a cost of €50,000 per day.

TDs have been told it would be unconstitutional to have virtual sittings during the restrictions.

According to The Herald, tax-payers will foot the bill for Oireachtas members moving to the event venue on Dublin's North Wall Quay.

All 160 TDs will have to be present for the vote to elect a Taoiseach.
