Following two weeks of unseasonably settled weather, a cold spell is set to make its presence known in the South East from Thursday and into the weekend.
Cold westerly winds are forecast to move in across the South East, bringing a significant windchill of -1 degrees Celsius in parts.

With the cold weather comes an increased likelihood of blustery, wintry showers, with falls possible in almost all parts of the South East by Friday.
Those looking for a little reprieve from the inclement weather going into the weekend will be left disappointed.
From Saturday the situation looks set to deteriorate with an increased likelihood of persistent rainfall.
