The creation of a new technological university for the South East has moved a step forward.
That's after legislation paving the way for the move was passed by the Dáil.
Carlow Senator Jennifer Murnane O'Connor said ammendmants have now been made to the bill, which will come before the senate next week.
She says it's crucial for the development of the region:
