Swedish authorities are looking to extradite three men, arrested in Ireland last week, after cocaine worth €3.5 million was recovered at an airfield in England.
A private plane was seized by Gardaí, along with mobile phones and €9,000 in cash, during an operation at Waterford Airport on February 23rd.
The aircraft had arrived from Belgium via the UK.
Two Swedish nationals and a Lithuanian were arrested, while another man has been charged in the UK in connection with the seizure of fifty kilogrammes of cocaine.
The three men have appeared before the High Court and are due in court again next week.
