Irish retailer SuperValu has issued an urgent recall for one of its flavoured bottled water products.
The own-brand SuperValu Still Lemon & Lime Flavoured Spring Water 500ml 6 pack is being recalled due to an "off taste".
The affected product has a best before date of June 2022.
Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batch.
The Affected Product
The announcement follows a recall last week by German discount retailer Aldi of a popular chocolate product sold in its stores.
The Moser Roth 'Milk, White & Dark Chocolates Collection 160g' is being recalled due to incorrect ingredients labelling.
One ingredient, egg, is not declared on the packaging; something of great concern to those with egg allergies.
All batches and all best before dates of the product are affected.
The Recalled Product
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland said: "Egg is an ingredient of Moser Roth, The Collection Milk, White & Dark chocolates and is not declared on the label. This may make the affected product unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of egg or its constituents. This product was sold in Aldi stores."
The product has been removed from Aldi shelves.
