Irish supermarket Supervalu and convenience store chain Centra have recalled several of its rice products following fears that they may be contaminated with insects.
The recall notice affects 11 of their rice offerings.
The three Centra products affected by the recall include Centra Boil in the Bag Long Grain Rice 500g, Centra Basmati Rice 1kg and Centra Long Grain Rice 1kg.
Meanwhile, the eight Supervalu-branded products included in the recall are Boil in the Bag Long Grain Rice 500g, Boil in the bag Wholegrain 500g, Boil in the Bag Basmati 500g, Basmati Rice 1kg, Long Grain Rice 1kg, Brown Rice 1kg, Thai Jasmine 1kg and Brown Basmati 1kg.
Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batches.
The best before dates of the concerned products can be seen below.
Last week, German discount retailer Aldi issued an urgent recall notice for a popular chicken goujon product sold in its stores.

The affected batch codes include 211216, 16:00:00, 16.12.2021; best before date: 16.12.2022.
Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in Aldi stores supplied with the implicated batch.
Consumers are urged not to eat the product.
