Students accross the South East will be joining the The Union of Students in Ireland as they hold a major demonstration in Dublin today.
They're demanding Minister for Education Richard Bruton delivers a timeline on the future of higher education funding.
It comes after the Minister announced that there will be no long-term outline of a third-level funding model in next week’s budget.
The demonstration is expected to draw over 5,000 students to the capital.
Michael Murphy is the President of the Student's Union at Waterford Institute of Technology.
He explains more:
"It's an important issue. We're basically protesting to say that student income contingent loans will not work.
"The students of Ireland and the future students of Ireland deserve publicly funded education."
