Structural issues have been found with the new bypass linking South Kilkenny to Wexford.
The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge was due to open by the end of this year, however that deadline isn't expected to be met.
Problems have been identified with the concrete and it's understood the opening of the bridge has been effected as a result.

It's understood Ireland's longest bridge won't open now until early next year.
