Travel has been impacted by the cold conditions, with 32 outbound flights from Dublin Airport cancelled today and 5 inbound flights.
The runways and taxiways have remained open and fully operational all day.
A spokesperson for the DAA says some airlines experienced delays to their flight schedules due to difficulties de-icing their aircraft, which is the responsibility of the airline.
Aoife Kealy from Met Eireann says it's not known for sure how long this spell will last: "The further out you go the more uncertainty there tends to be with these things.
"It does look like there'll probably be little change in conditions toward midweek.
"It's just to be prepared more than anything else."
