UPDATE 1PM: Met Eireann has extended its Status Orange Fog Warning.
The Orange Alert is now valid for the entire country until 2am on Friday.
The forecaster warns that fog with poor visibilities will linger in many inland areas this afternoon and will become more extensive and dense this evening.

Fog will be fairly widespread and most dense inland, away from coastal areas.
