The Solas Cancer Support Centre in Waterford is hosting a big night tonight.
The 3rd Annual Star for Life Tribute & Choir Ceremony will be taking place.
The event will be a chance for people to think of loved ones.
Ann Marie Power of the Solas Centre tells Beat News what will be happening.
"We have the Star for Life tribute and Choir Ceremony tonight in the Centre, it's our third annual event, it's free and open to everyone in the community.
It's a very moving night and special to finish the year off with.
It's gives people the opportunity to remember people they've lost or people who might be going through a difficult time at the moment"
The Star for Life ceremony will coincide with turning on the Christmas Tree Lights and people are encouraged to sponsor a star for €2 to create a tribute for a loved.
