Recruitment company Indeed has told its 1,000 staff in Dublin to work from home over concerns of coronavirus.
It is after family members of an employee were hospitalised and tested for the virus in Singapore.
The employee at the centre of the scare is based in Singapore, but had visited Dublin and Sydney recently.
In an email sent to its Dublin staff, Indeed said that the employee may have been exposed to the virus after their family members visited a facility caring for a coronavirus patient.
Those family members have been hospitalised with pneumonia, and it is still not known whether they have contracted the virus.
Indeed told their employees that the results will take up to 48 hours, and the employee is reportedly ‘feeling fine’.
There are no confirmed cases of infection, but as a precaution they have asked all employees in their Singapore, Dublin and Sydney offices to work from home until they receive confirmation.
The Department of Health say there are no confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Ireland and would not comment on individual cases or activation plans other than confirmed cases
