The wait is over for students across the South East, as the results of the Leaving Certificate have been revealed today.
Close to 7 thousand pupils have received their results in the region.
A new grading system's been applied to all subjects this year - reducing to eight the number of grades available at each level.
More students are taking higher level rates across almost all subjects this year, and fewer students are failing subjects.
Tom Beecher is Principle in Waterpark College in Waterford - he tells us about the new grading system:
“The new grading system is in place this year, so it gives additional options to students.
"Their course options now are very extensive indeed and we find that students are very satisfied.
"First preferences are coming up in terms of their third level courses, so we are very pleased with that."
