South East Severely Affected by RSA Driving Test Times

A new report from the Road Safety Authority shows that learners who apply for the driving test can be left waiting for at least 20 weeks.

The report shows that more than 70,000 people who have paid and registered for driving tests have been left waiting on the road for up to six months waiting for their driving tests to come through.

The RSA aims to have a national average waiting time for a driving test of no longer than 10 weeks but it's own figures reveal that just one of it's 48 centres meets this target.

In Carlow, you could be waiting between 18-25 weeks, in Kilkenny 17-25 weeks, in Wexford there's a 14-26 week wait and in Tipperary and Waterford, you could be waiting for your driver's test between 17-27 weeks.
