Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation reveal that South Tipperary General Hospital has the highest number of patients waiting on trolleys in the country today at 39.
According to the latest trolley watch report, 70 patients are waiting on a bed across the South East as of December 6th.
The numbers also reveal that 47 people are waiting on trolleys. This can be broken down to:
- South Tipperary (25)
- Waterford (15)
- Kilkenny (13)
- Wexford (3)
A further 23 are in overflow wards across the South East.
The number represents a small decrease from Nov 2nd last, when 86 patients were waiting on beds across the region.
Meanwhile, over 450 people are waiting on a bed at hospitals across Ireland today.
352 patients are on trolleys nationwide, while a further 99 are in overflow departments.
