160 new jobs are coming on stream with investment in a Waterford based company over the next five years.
Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories in Dungarvan has already created 175 jobs over the past two years and is a major employer in the region.
The company is set to increase its workforce to over 500 staff by 2021.
Eurofins currently serves 18 of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies.
IDA Regional Manager Anne Marie Tierney La Roux says securing new investment like this to Dungarvan
"Today is a really significant day for the south east region and indeed for Waterford and most particularly for Dungarvan with the announcement of 160 new jobs at Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories which is part of the Eurofins group based in Dungarvan at their campus.
The company is a world leader in bio analytical testing and this means they do testing for the pharmaceutical sector, global pharmaceutical companies.
So it's a state of the art facility at Dungarvan, and what the company actually hopes to do in this announcement is to launch a major building expansion programme to actually triple the size of their existing state of the art laboratory to serve the biopharmaceutical market both in Ireland and in the UK."
