Since midnight 65 vehicles have been caught travelling too fast

Gosafe have checked the speed of 23,780 vehicles since midnight.

65 of which were traveling too fast.

Today marks 'European Day Without A Road Death', or EDWARD.

Speed, drink and drug driving, and mobile phone use are being targeted by Gardaí in the region today.

The annual 24-hour safety event started at midnight across Europe.
