One person has lost their life and two others were taken to hospital following a fatal road traffic collision in County Waterford yesterday.
The incident happened on the R682 Orchardston to Tramore road, which remains closed pending a forensic investigation.
The woman in her 80s was a passenger in one of the cars and was pronounced dead a short time after the accident.
Injuries to the two drivers and the passenger in the other car are not thought to be life-threatening.
The road has reopened following an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and Gardaí are appealing to any road users who were travelling on the R682 at the time with camera footage (including dash-cam) to contact Tramore Garda Station, or the Garda Confidential Line.
