Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Co. Waterford at Ballyhest Cross (R678) on the Kilmacthomas to Rathgormac road.

The collision, between a van and a 4x4, happened at around 10 am.
A man in his 60's who was the sole occupant of a van was pronounced dead on arrival at Waterford University Hospital
The 2 people in the 4x4 attended UHW for a medical assessment.
The road has been closed to facilitate a Garda forensic investigation and diversions have been put in place.
