Security alert at Waterford Courthouse as Bomb Squad called to scene

The army bomb squad has arrived in Waterford to deal with a suspicious device found this morning outside the courthouse.

The squad was called to the scene after object was found just before 10.30 this morning.

They arrived from Cork to inspect the scene at around 2pm.

The courthouse, which was holding a special sitting of the circuit court, was evacuated and gardai are at the scene.
