Merseyside Police have arrested a second man in Britain on suspicion of the murder of Olivia Pratt-Korbel.
The nine-year-old was killed when she was shot at her home in Liverpool on Monday by a masked hitman.
The 33-year-old man, from Dovecot, was detained by armed officers.
Another man, who's 36, was earlier taken into custody - both are also being questioned on two counts of attempted murder.
Olivia was shot in the chest after the gunman and former heroin dealer Joseph Nee – whom he was trying to shoot – barged into her home.
The family had no connection to the gangsters and Olivia's mother Cheryl had only opened the front door after hearing the commotion outside. She desperately tried to barricade it shut but was shot in the wrist by the bullet that then hit her daughter.
It is Liverpool's third gun killing in just a week.
Merseyside police have urged people with information not to stay silent and to come forward.
As our investigation into Olivia's murder continues we need the information to keep coming in from the public about who was involved.
If you you something that could help us get justice for Olivia and her family then tell @CrimestoppersUK
