UPDATE:
A body has been recovered from the river barrow in County Carlow this afternoon.
An underwater search by the Garda sub aqua unit began there earlier on 20th December 2018.
EARLIER:
The Garda sub aqua team have been called in to assist with a search in County Carlow.
It comes after a car was reportedly seen entering the River Barrow at Ballytiglea close to the village of Borris.
Searches were carried out for much of yesterday afternoon, but nothing was found.
A Garda source has confirmed to Beat news this morning that the search will resume when the Sub Aqua unit arrives at around 11 o'clock this morning.
The Gardaí, Fire service and Kilkenny civil defence are all involved in the search operation.
