The Sean Kelly Tour of Waterford is celebrating it's tenth anniversary with over 6500 participants taking part this year.
Cyclists will arrive from all over Ireland to help celebrate the achievements of Waterford man Sean Kelly who is one of Ireland's most successful cyclists.
There are 3 different events taking place across Waterford with varying levels of difficulty for riders.
The events range from 50km, 100km and 160km depending on the cyclists ability.
Johnny Brunnock, event co-ordinator for the tour explains why Waterford is the perfect place for the tour to take place.
"There's definitely a huge appetite for not only cycling but all kinds of physical activity in Waterford.
"It's a great place with so many facilities and amenities and with things like the Greenway coming on stream soon over the next few months, it's a county that has that everything for anyone interested in cycling or any physical activity."
Brunnock also praised the work that Kelly puts into the tour himself.
"Sean has been so highly involved with the tour for the last ten years and he's really been selfless. He gives his time to coming to meetings and then to attend the event.
"He arrives early in the morning he's signing autographs all day and he's meeting everyone young and old."
