Sales of lottery tickets went over the one billion euro mark for the first time in Ireland last year.
It includes a three month rollover period at the end of 2021, with the jackpot stuck at just over 19-million for most of that time.
Fine Gael TD Bernard Durkan, slammed the game at the time, demanding for a 'must win' draw to clear the jackpot.
CEO of the National Lottery Andrew Algeo, says plenty of the money generated has gone towards it's Good Causes fund.
"Since 90% of that billion euro sales goes back to the community it means good news for the 1.4 million players that we have each week.
"The thousands of good causes up and down the country who received over 300 million, which is also a record, as well as the 5,000 lottery agents who have received 55 million in commissions."
