The Bafta-winning actor Robbie Coltrane has died at the age of 72.
He starred in dozens of films and TV shows - including as Hagrid in Harry Potter, in the TV series Cracker, and two James Bond films.
Belinda Wright, his agent and friend, has thanked the team at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert for their care.
In a statement, Ms Wright said: "He will probably be best remembered for decades to come as Hagrid in the Harry Potter films, a role which brought joy to children and adults alike all over the world, prompting a stream of fan letters every week for over 20 years."
The news has been met with dismay by his fans, with many already moving to share their love for the star.
