UPDATE 07:56am The collision has been cleared but there are still delays northbound at J4 Castledermot.
EARLIER: There are reports of an early morning crash on the M9 Dublin to Waterford motorway.
It is understood that emergency services are en route to a collision there in county Kildare.

It is reported to have taken place 4 kilometers past Junction 4 in Castledermot.
Traffic in both directions is said to be affected.

Motorists are advised to slow down and exercise caution in the area.
