Rebekah Vardy has lost the 'Wagatha Christie' High Court libel battle she brought against Coleen Rooney over a viral social media post.
The high-profile trial which opened in May of this year concluded today.
Presiding Judge Justice Steyn accepted that Rooney's post was "a matter of public interest" due to "the undesirable practice of information (in the nature of mere gossip) about celebrities' private lives being disclosed to the press by trusted individuals".
Rebekah Vardy took legal action against Coleen Rooney after she was accused of leaking "false stories" in 2019.

The source of these reports were claimed to have come from three fake stories posted on Vardy's personal Instagram page - stories that were only shared with Coleen Rooney.
