People are being reminded that it's an offence to light any fire within 1 mile of a woodland or a Nature Reserve.
The National Parks & Wildlife Service is appealing to members of the public to be conscious of the dangers posed by fire and to exercise extreme caution over the current hot spell.
The recent hot temperatures have seen an increase in the number of fires as a result of the public using barbeques or open fires.
Carlow Kilkenny TD and Minister of State for Heritage Malcolm Noonan says to use common sense near beauty spot.
"What we saying to them is to be vigilant and to be safe.
"It's critically important that they light no fires and they light no barbeques.
"They leave no trace, they enjoy their time in our national parks and nature reserves.
"Our rangers are there to support the visitors and the families that visit our parks."
