Thousands of protestors took to the streets of New York last night on the eve of the inauguration of Donald Trump as US president.
A group of celebrities - including Robert De Niro, Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo - were at the rally outside Trump Hotel.
The businessman will be sworn in as the United States' 45th president later.
Actor Alec Baldwin - known for his impressions of Mr Trump - was meet by cheers when he addressed the crowd:
"Donald Trump, Steve Bannon and Mike Pence and all these people who are part of the Trump administration, they think that you are gonna lay down. Are you gonna lay down? Are you gonna fight?"
An estimated crowd of over 20,000 gathered for the anti trump protest rally in New York City last night ahead of Donald Trump's inauguration later today as America's 45th president.
"Donald Trump may control the agenda in Washington, but we control our destiny as Americans" - these were the words from mayor of New York Bill De Blasio to the thousands gathered at Trump international hotel in New York City last night.
The anti trump rally caused huge disruption to traffic. Protestors told Beat's Gabrielle Cummins they were demonstrating because- they were extremely passionate about wanting to come and share their solidarity with others against a man who they say is "not my president".
The diverse crowd expressed huge concern over issues like climate change, their perception of the president elect's misogynistic attitude towards women and his "puppet administration"
The protestors had planned to travel to Trump Tower but this was barricaded off limits with a huge security presence from the New York police department.
Historians say they haven't witnessed this level of demonstration against a president elect since Abraham Lincoln back in the 1800s.
More protests are scheduled for later today right across America as Donald Trump is officially inaugurated as The 45th president of the United States.
