The price of a pint is set to rise by around 15 cents this year, according to a Kilkenny publican.
Pat Crotty, who owns Paris Texas Bar and Restaurant in the city, says the rising cost of inflation, as well as unit price increases by drinks companies, means establishments across the South-East will likely have to charge more for drinks.
It could result in pints costing as high as 20 cents more per pour.
The blow comes just weeks after hospitality was allowed open fully following almost two years of restrictions.
