A batch of the ever-popular Denny Gold Label sausage brand has been recalled by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.
With many picking up a pack of sausages for the Christmas Day fry, people are being urged to check their fridges for Denny Gold Label Sausages with a best before date of "Jan 29".
The affected product was sold in Dunnes Stores and SuperValu.
The product is being recalled over incorrect use-by date labelling, which should read "29 Dec".
The product can be returned to its point of purchase.
A statement by the FSAI reads: "Denny is recalling the above batch of its Gold Medal Skinless 16 Pork Sausages due to an incorrect use-by date printed on the label on a small number of packs. The correct use-by date is 29 December 2021. Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batch."
