Some people would do anything to avoid delivery fees...
Police in the UK have taken to Twitter to voice their disbelief after catching a motorist driving with a carpet on their roof.
The reckless driver was spotted by police in Devon with the rolled-up carpet almost completely covering the front and rear windows.
Worse still, the carpet was tied to the blue Skoda Karoq SUV with just a few bungee chords.
Taking to Twitter, the Devon and Cornwall Road Policing Team said: "Fortunately this vehicle was stopped before joining the A38 at Deep Lane in Plympton."
They continued: "The obstructed view as well as the bungee cords clearly wasn’t a substantial method of securing the carpet."

The motorist could consider themselves lucky as they escaped with just a motoring ticket.
