Aldi have confirmed that they will open a new store in Tramore, County Waterford.
Planning permission for the building on Strand Road has been granted by An Bord Pleanála.
It's estimated that 20 new jobs will be created at the store which will be constructed in the award-winning Project Fresh design format.

We have been frustrated by the delay tactics employed by some of our competitors, who have attempted to thwart our efforts to secure planning permission in Tramore for some time. We were confident that our application was in accordance with good planning and sustainable development and are now delighted that An Bord Pleanála has confirmed the planning permission.”

Each store is deeply embedded within its local community, donating surplus food daily to local charitable organisations as part of Aldi’s partnership with FoodCloud. Combined, our Waterford stores have donated almost 60,000 meals to charity through FoodCloud.”
