A pilot who died when his light aircraft came down yesterday near Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, has been named as David Ryan.
The 84-year-old was a member of the Waterford Aero Club.
The Dublin-native was the sole occupant of the plane which crashed into a field at Knockahavaun at around 4.30pm.
Investigations are ongoing as to the cause of the incident.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses who noticed a low flying aircraft in the Dungarvan area to contact them on: 058 48600.
