Social distancing rules may change for the reopening of pubs and restaurants that serve food, but only if you leave after 90 minutes.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre also says pubs, cafes and restaurants will only have to stick to one-metre social distance rules in certain circumstances, but only if you leave after 90 minutes.

It’s understood the two metre rule will reduce to one under these conditions, after the the Health Protection Surveillance Centre issued draft guidelines.

Customers will also have to spend at least €9 on a substantial meal.
