A man in his 50s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after an incident last night.
At about 7:30pm the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at the entrance to Waterford Retail Park off the Cork Road.
The stretch of the Cork Road from the Butlerstown Roundabout remains closed for a technical exam.
Diversions are in place and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
