Paddy's night Tractors of Carrick on Suir

The hugely popular Christmas Tractors of Carrick on Suir are making a Saint Patrick's night comeback.

The 2016 evening event is promising to be as sparkly as ever.

The tractors gained much media attention following their recent Christmas outing which saw hundreds of people line the streets of Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary.

Stuart John Downie - Founder of the Crop Cruisers explained to Beat News that the idea has been warmly welcomed:

"The whole thing about the Christmas Tractors is going by night.

The Crop Cruisers didn't really have any business going into the Patricks Day Parade in the daylight.

The strength of the tractors is by night with all the different light systems on it.

When we suggested it to Councillor David Dunne they all jumped at the chance of it and we said sure look it's something different.

It's not going to take from any other towns parade's either that are happening during the day so hopefully we'll be able to pull people from other towns as well to come in the evening to see it."

The Saint Patrick's Light Brigade is assembling at 6pm in the Swan carpark and finishing up in the Super Valu Car Park, Greystone Street, Carrick on Suir.
