More than 34,000 domestic abuse incidents have been reported this year.
That's a 56% increase since 2017.
Gardaí have been actively reaching out to victims during the pandemic to make sure they're safe.
Noeline Blackwell from the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre says it's important that continues.
"They are at risk all of the time and the Guards need to reach out to them because they can be so petrified, they can be so down and humiliated in domestic violence and sexual violence and feel like they are not worth reporting these things but they are."
