Some 300 homes in Wexford will be without water and power for a number of hours this afternoon.
A boil water notice remains in place this week which also coincides with planned ESB maintenance.
It means residents of Cluain Dara and some adjoining housing estates in Wexford town will have no power or water from 9am until 4pm.
Speaking to Beat News, Councillor Leonard Kelly says the blame lies with Irish Water:
"This is work that has been planned for a good number of weeks, before these weather events happened."
"I did emphasise to them that they had to do as much work as possible before the power was turned off, they agreed to that."
"But again, this problem lies with Irish Water."
