Over 220,000 cigarettes have been seized at Rosslare Europort.
The discovery, with an estimated retail value of almost €175,500, was made by Revenue officers earlier today.
It represents a potential loss to the Exchequer of about €137,000.
The cigarettes were discovered concealed in the roof compartment of a German registered minibus that had disembarked a ferry from Cherbourg in France.

A man in his 20s was questioned and investigations are ongoing.
