The M8 Dublin/Cork Road South Bound remains closed this morning between J6 Thurles and J7 Cashel North due to a crash.
The two-vehicle collision happened at 9:45 last night.
A female driver of one vehicle was taken to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries.
Gardaí were unable to provide an update on her condition this morning.

The other driver is said to be uninjured.
Gardaí say the road will remain closed until 10 AM at least to facilitate a forensic examination.
