Tourism Ireland have welcomed the announcement by Norwegian today saying that it will provide another welcome boost for travel from Canada to Ireland.
"We are delighted to hear that Norwegian will launch a new flight from Hamilton (Ontario) to Dublin next spring," said Dana Welch, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Canada.
"It’s more good news for Irish tourism as we begin to plan for 2019. We look forward to working closely with Norwegian to maximise the promotion of this new flight from Hamilton and continue to grow Canadian visitor numbers.
"As an island, the importance of convenient, direct, non-stop flights cannot be overstated – they are absolutely critical to achieving growth in inbound tourism."
Last year saw the best ever year for Irish tourism from Canada with visitor numbers up by approximately 12% over 2016.
