There have been calls for the Education and Training Board to clarify the reasons behind the closure of a school in Carlow
Last week, staff and students were informed Mhuine Bheag Vocational School in Baganelstown was to close in 2018.
Sinn Fein TD for Carlow-Kilkenny Kathleen Funchion intends to contact the ETB this morning.
She told Beat News a lot of questions have to be answered:
'Who made the decision? Was it Department of Education decision? Was it a local decision?
'There's a lot of unanswered questions, and then how was that decision communicated to students, to their parents and to staff at the school.'
'There seems to be a lot of stories in how that information was actually given to people. One lady got in touch with me to say she only heard about the decision on the radio.'
