A significant new development is on the way for County Kilkenny.
A decision by An Bord Pleanala, is expected over the coming days, for the large service station at Garrandarragh in Mullinavat.
Work on the service station, which will create jobs locally and service the M9 motorway, is expected to start soon pending approval.
There are also plans for a nursing home, units for independent living and a medical centre as part of the development.

It is understood that a third party who had lodged an objection to the planning have withdrawn their opposition, paving the way for the project to go ahead in the coming weeks.
