Gardaí in Tipperary are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision.
It happened on the N24 at Ballingarrane, Cahir, Co. Tipperary at about 8pm yesterday.
The collision involved a truck and a car.
The driver of a car, a man in his early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene; the driver of the truck was not injured.
The road at the scene remains closed to facilitate an examination of the area by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Diversions are signposted but motorists are best advised to avoid this stretch.

HGVs travelling from Clonmel towards the M8 should divert via Cashel.
Details of any injuries are not yet known at this time.
