A motorist in Kildare has been issued a fine after being caught applying make-up while navigating heavy traffic.
The driver of the silver Volvo XC90 was stopped by the Naas Roads Policing Unit on the N7.
The offending motorist was then issued a fine by gardaí for dangerous driving.
Taking to the @gardatraffic Twitter account, gardaí said: "Naas Roads Policing Unit were on patrol on the N7 when they saw this driver doing their makeup while in heavy traffic. They were stopped and issued a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice. #SaferRoads"

Meanwhile, in Dublin, the driver of a white Honda CR-Z was stopped by Metropolitan Region (DMR) gardaí when they observed a vehicle driving erratically at speed on the N81.
When pulled over, the motorist tested positive for cocaine.
The driver was then arrested with proceedings to follow.
