A mother was forced to look on in horror as her unrestrained son clung onto a 'Free Fall' ride at Sydney's Royal Easter Show.
Tristan Curtis was aboard the ride when his restraint flung open above his head, seconds before it was due to launch into the air.
The boy's mother, Sky, along with onlookers, looked on helplessly before rushing to stop the ride from taking off.

Staff then proceeded to shut down Free Fall with seconds to spare, with the ascent having already commenced.
Speaking to 10 News First Sydney, Sky said: "I'm just trying to wrap my head around the situation. The ride just started moving, me and the other parents screamed for the ride to stop."
A full investigation is now underway with the assistance of an independent engineer.
