A survey by Mummy Pages dot ie also reveals that the day itself can cost up to 1,500 euro.
This includes the outfit - including shoes and accessories - at 235 euro and food and drinks in a venue amounting to more than 600 euro.

The survey also says most parents feel the cost of celebrations is excessive with the general fuss surrounding the day often drowning out the meaning of day.
